The Waterloo Regional Eye Program has 16 ophthalmologists, also known as eye physicians and surgeons, who perform surgeries out of Saint Mary’s General Hospital, Grand River Hospital, Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Guelph General Hospital. Our ophthalmologists provide 24/7 emergency eye care through a regional call schedule.

Cataract surgery wait times

Wait times for cataract surgery are updated quarterly, with wait 1 representing how long it takes in days to get in to see the surgeon in the office, and wait 2, how long it takes after that to get in for surgery.
